70 points system of passing the trial to get a driver's license has been started to implemented in Bagmati Province. According to Mr. Harihar Pokharel, the spokesperson of Bagmati Province Ministry of Labour, Employment and Transport, the 70-point system for driving license trial exam has been implemented after necessary preparations. Earlier, Bagmati Province could not implement this system even though it promised to implement it soon. Pokharel said that although it was decided to implement it, the system came into implementation recently. Failure to implement such a system led to delays in the distribution of licenses as well as the increase in the number of drivers taking out licenses illegally. Pokharel said that there will be no such problem. “Earlier, only 30 percent passed the trial examinations. But now 70 percent of the drivers will pass the trial,” he said. Bagmati Province expects that the 70-point system will reduce the hassles to obtain driver's license.
